I am looking for information concerning RF Griffis, AM Griffis, William Griffis, and Bob (Robert) Griffis. I believe they are all in the same family. They moved from TN to TX about 1867-1869. There is an indication that Bob and William may be of mixed blood, part Native American and Anglo. They were aquainted with my gr gr grandfather who was also of mixed Blood, John William Windle. RF and Mrs. AM Griffis made and Affidavit on behalf of my gr gr grandmother Lucinda Willis for a Widows Pension for John William's service in the Mexican War. There is also an indication that Bob and William Griffis are related to my family. Russell L. Windle
