Mary Grant married Joseph McGraw as above per Courthouse record C-222. My g-grandfather was Joseph McGraw living in Arkansas county from 1840's to 1889 -- his 3 children (in my line) were born there from 1870-1875. The 1880 Census shows children's mother born in ALA. The marriage record indicates she lived in the county, but I can find no record of her or any other "Grants" in the tax/census records for 1860's. The timing of this marriage would be perfect for this Mary Grant to be my g-grandmother. The problem is that the family thinks her name was Mary A. "Owen". There was no Mary Owen married in Arkansas County at the correct time and no other marriage for Joseph at the correct time. Does anyone have any knowledge of either Mary A. Owen or this Mary Grant? (My theory is that Mary Owen married a Mr.Grant before 1868.) Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you, Bobbie Wooll
