Dear Tim, Many Grable people are related to the Graybills. Someone did the genealogy of our Grable line (Vandergrable)without documentation in the 1950'2 and connected them to the wrong ancestors - The Graybill Family. So literally 1000s of people have the wrong genealogy. I did not know this until I started collecting all the (probate wills, death certificates, land records, military records, census, marriage, Family Bible records, etc)documentation on each member of the family. Then I knew that Betty's great grandfather was Samuel Miller Grable son of Captain Joseph Grable and Lydia Miller from Nelson County, KY. Joseph Grable's family came from the surname of Vandergrable. The Betty Grable Family is not connected with the Graybill ancestors. In studying the names you wrote - they are not related to The Grable line or Hofmann line. Good luck in your research. |
