I am tracing descendants of my gggf, Washington Wright. His two oldest children married Gowdy siblings. John A. Wright m in 1866 in Warren Co, Sarah J. Gowdy, dau of John and Ann (Steel) Gowdy. Sarah was born in Clark Co, OH, in 1843 and d near Fort Stockton TX in 1915. Sarah Jane Wright m in 1858 David C. Gowdy, son of John and Ann (Steel) Gowdy. David was b in Clark Co, OH, in 1835 and the last record I have found for him is in the 1900 census of Monmouth, IL. I am interested in exchanging information on descendants of these two families. I have considerable information on the ancestry of Washington Wright. The family of John and Ann (Steel) Gowdy is found on pages 518-519 of the Gowdy (etal) gen by Hon. Mahlon M. Gowdy. I have been able to add a little on this family to what Hon. Mahlon Gowdy compiled. Bill Wright
