I am looking for connections with Gouldings from India. My grandfather William (Chesterfield ?) Goulding (born approx 1899 d.1959) was the father of Dorothy, Muriel, Timothy, Paul, Matthew & Grace, who were born in various locations in the south of India. William worked as a fitter and turner and lived in various locations, Negapatam, Kolar Goldfields, Trichinopoly, Erode, Coimbatore, Tanjore & Bangalore. He also fought in the Great War in Mesopotamia. William was born in Negapatam, India, and is believed to be the son of William (Chesterfield?) Goulding, who was a major in the British Army in Trichinopoly, India. William (senior) was born in England and eventually returned to England after his service was completed in the army. Do you have a connection with these Gouldings in India? I would be grateful of any information that you may have.
