Ron, have you seen the Power of Attorney the 9 children of Edward Goode gave to Robert Goode to sell the estate of their father, Edward, dec'd, in Mecklenburg Co, VA? (Meck Co DB 9, pg 99, dated 17 Feb 1796)This document is signed by all of Edwards children, including Richard. As stated, "Joseph, Edward, Richard, Thomas, and John all of Rutherford County and State of North Carolina". The children are again listed on page 100 of DB 9 (dated 17 May 1796) when Robert Goode sells the land. This Edward, dec'd, of Mecklenburg Co, VA, was the grandson of immigrant Edward Goode of Four Mile Creek. I hope this helps you in your research.
