I live in Houston, Texas. I would love to meet you, and your family. Where do you live? I take care of my mother who has Dymentia, so it would probably be better to meet at Clayton Library. The Library is very near the museum district. The Art Museum, and Science Museum ext.
Perhaps we could have lunch at this nifty little deli that is next to the art museum. I have done some research on the family of William the Conqueror; as well; Both my Fleming and Bates line may be descended from him. Some of the older books have stated it as fact. But it has been disputed lately by some genealogist . If you are interested there are some postings at the Fleming site, and Bates too; that I made over the last few years. I have another connection to the Royal family. Capt.Joseph Royal (1646-1732), who married(1681/2) Mary Eppes (1664-1698). He was the brother of Catherine( Royal) Perrin. He had a son; William Royal; William Royal'sdaughter; Sarah(Jan 6,1763- March 25, 1836) md Col.Nathaniel Terry (1724-April 21,1780). He was the brother of my Joseph Terry (1717-will 1785). Their parents were Benjamin Tery, and Elizabeth Irby. The Terrys are related to the Goodner, and Williams families who were the family of my gr grandmother; Mary Elizabeth Goodner, who married John Alexander Gibson(1838-1870), (son of Rev. Albert G. Gibson),and the grandson of John Gibson and Margaret Joyce. I have a posting on him at this site. I would be interested in any information on Eleanor Corrie. Do you think she could be descended from John Cary, of Bristol, England? He was bapt. April 10, 1583 in Bristol. He married 1618 Alice Hobson , the daughter of Henry Hobson, and Alice Davis of Bristol. Their son Miles Cary was born c 1621 (babt. Jan 1622)in Bristol. He died June 10, 1667 in Hampton Roads, Virginia. His wife was Ann Taylor. he was killed by the Dutch during a foray into Hampton Roads, Va. He came to Virginia around 1640/46. The issue I know about are: Thomas, Ann md Col. Thomas Randolph, Henry md Katherine White, Miles, Bridget md William Bassett, Elizabeth, William,
