The wives of Robert B. George and William Wheeler, Minerva and Jane, were daughters of Eli Cole, died 1854, and wife, Hester (Fincher) Cole, died 1858. James A. George (1823-1891), Lewis, John and William are probable brothers of Robert George.
Many or all of these people were living in Lincoln Co., TN. in 1850-60. By 1860-70, they were living in Kentuckytown, (or Kentucky) P. O., Grayson Co., TX.
Robert and James George, and their wives, Minerva and Jane P. (1830-1882), are buried in Cannon Cemetery, Grayson Co., TX. I believe Robert George's headstone says that he was born in North Carolina.
I do not yet have details, but these George brothers are said to be the sons of Joseph George, and grandsons of William George. William, or his father, may have resided for a time in Nova Scotia.
In Eli Cole's 1854 will (Grayson Co., TX.), he lists children; Elizabeth Cole, Minerva George, Delilah Butler, Ezra Cole, Mary Rowlin, Jane Wheeler, Louis Cole and Rufus Cole.
I would be very interested in any further information.
