Does anyone know if this DNA report is our Reuben George? Lineage I 43435 Reuben George, b. 1776, VA Unknown Origin R1b1a2 Then on another web site I find the following???? #5513 Reuben George (1776 – abt 1839) R1b1b2 Lineage I Nicholas George (abt 1605 –1661) #43435 Reuben George R1b1b2 Lineage I Nicholas George (abt 1605 –1661) Notice the difference in description Rlbla2 as opposed to Rlblb2? But the Kit numbers are the same! Very confusing! But it would seem to imply that there is a second Reuben out there. from the second web site this information is given "Lineage I: A large number of participants in this group trace their ancestry to North Carolina. Several members of the group trace their ancestry to Nicholas George of Virginia, born in England about 1603." So many have our Reuben as son of Rueben & Mildred Rogers George but I think in fact their child Reuben is 10 years older and has a Rev. War claim..from now West Virginia... There is a U.S., Sons of the American Revolution Membership Applications, 1889-1970--SAR membership 74008 who records a William George born in Wales, had son Thomas George who died ca 1843 Jefferson Co. Ind. I would appreciate hearing your thoughts! Sincerely, Vic Piper |
