Looking for any information on the following line. I am stuck at Thomas George. Clinton, Thomas' son, was my 4g-grandfather. Any information on Thomas or CLinton would be most appreciated.

"And So, it might take 6 years to get to this point, but am of the belief that information is only meant to be found when it's supposed to be.
I have Clinton George as the son of Thomas George and wife. Thomas George deceases in Whitehall, Washington Co, NY prior to 1811.
According to the Guardianship Letters of Washington County, NY one Jasper Lyons is appointed guardian of the minor children of Thomas George, late, of the town of Whitehall, Washington Co, NY. Thomas' children are: Locey, Ambrose, Clinton, Fidelia and Emily George.
Jasper Lyons removes to Crawford Co, PA and there dies. Only logical that the George children were taken there by young Jasper (who b 1791; and therefore aged 28 when he takes responsibility for the guardianship of the George children. Jasper removes to Crawford Co, with the "migration" of others from Whitehall, Washington Co who came about 1828ish. I suspect those to have removed when Samuel Hatch removed to Crawford and started their own church; these mostly Baptist.
"Offshoots of this "contingent" also removed to Erie Co, PA and suspect that this is how the George "children", now young adults, wound up in Erie.
I found Clinton in Erie for the 1840 & 1850 census; and when I saw Clinton named a son Thomas, this is when I "jumped" onto this thread.
Those reading the 1850 census say Clinton's first wife was Susan, also born NY---and 12 yrs his Junior."
