I hope that I can find help on this forum with the identity of the family of Catherine Lawson who married Benjamin George, Jr. in Northumberland County, VA area, possibly Lancaster County where Catherine died ca 1793; her will was probated there in 1794.
Benjamin's mother was my 6G grandmother, who married Benjamin George, Sr. as her second husband, after my 6G grandfather, Henry Tapscott died. It is pretty evident that Ann Tapscott George was Ann Edney before she was married. The Edney name is used as a given name in the Tapscott family, and also appears in the family of Benjamin and Catherine in the naming of their daughter, Ann Edney George.
