Having read nearly all of the posts on this board, I'm left with the sense that there really is no way to update my family files without becoming a slave to "patches" and "workarounds," and even then, it sounds like maintaining the program at a simple functional level is a matter of bubblegum & baling-wire. I've thought about switching to a different software package but every one that I've used is utter krap. Folks have cited Generation's intuitive interface and that is exactly what keeps me devoted to it.
Is there anything out there that even remotely approaches Generations as an alternative???
