Generations offers several report types and all include options to control what is included in them. When you go to the report creation screen, click on the Layouts button at the bottom and select Define Layouts.
You may create additional report layouts (or chart layouts from the chart creation screen for that matter) and give them useful descriptive names. Go through each data category (middle column) and select the various data elements (right column) as you wish.
Not all reports offer the same type of data elements and the different sections of the manual and online help describe the differences relevant to particular output types. For example, for reasons I don't understand, the 'memo' field for events are only available for some of the output types, so I don't use those fields very much. There is also a somewhat confusing section where Name Setup controls whether or not a person's spouse is included. Select Person & Spouse from that setting to include spouses.
It can take a bit of getting used to, but this is one of the most powerful features of the program. You can save layouts which have very little detail so you can quickly get an overview of the family, or you can save layouts which have everything imaginable included.
