Deb, thanks so much for this incredibly helpful post. I have not tested this yet, but I have been pounding my head against the wall, wondering how to do this. My Generations Millineum Easy Tree has been well-loved for over a decade, but has been slowing down, especially since I had to go on Windows Vista. I have made creative use of the create-your-own notes and facts, only to see that moving them to any outside program was going to be damn near impossible. After much frantic looking to find out that Sierra really did abandon this wonderful program, and much searching to find ANY other program to use other than FTM, I'm relieved to see your post and will be going to try Legacy asap. I've printed out your post here and when I've trialed Legacy and hopefully made a successful transfer, I'll let you know how it went and what problems I had. Hopefully you have led the way so that other Generations users will not have to pull their hair out and try to retype 10,000 persons into a new program (and no, I'm not kidding, I have nearly 10,000 people in my index)!
