Thank you so much for all the very valuable help and advice you have given to so many. Unfortunately, I have tried for over a year now to get assistance from customer support for the problems I detailed (same as so many others) in my message to the board in August (see message under: "Generations FT Plus and XP" posted by Tammy Rummel.
In response to my customer support request I was sent a link to a sight that details several programs that have interaction issues. Those were tested and they did not repair the issues. For more than three months, customer support kept telling me to read that file. Then they admitted it was a known issue and there was no patch.
In august, I posted to the message board for assistance. The response was, again, to check that response and to download a patch. As stated in the other message, the patch could not locate the software on my computer. We tried everything we could think of to get it to work. Nothing has helped.
I thank you so much for all the responses to everyone on this message board that have had problems. You have done wonders to help so many. However, I have tried everything you have posted that I can find. Only one exception, some thing to do with a mouse. I could not understand a word you said. Sorry, I am not a computer expert. I did attempt to follow your instructions. I could not find the items you were listing to check for.
I use XP Home edition. If I am reading the messages on the board correctly, it seems there are problems in Home version that do not appear in pro XP?
Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. I was such a fan of Generations.
