Thanks - I have tried re-installing which does not get rid of the error. My old 8.0 version does allow you to see the version no. but the upgrade does not. I have also installed it on another computer and I am afraid clicking on help does not show the version no. either. I had been running the upgrade quite successfully for a couple of years at least. The no disk error only appears with only two of my .uds files so far. There seems to be some correspondence on the web about this error with a range of software and various suggestions as to the cause - perhaps I might try their solutions!
