I have charts made with the old Windows Reunion program, long ago, and now I have the successor Generations 8.5a program on my Windows Vista machine, and the program and the charts work fine. (Vista is no problem!)
Now I want to put charts into my genealogy website, and I am looking for advice on the best way to do this. The options seem to be PDF or JPG or BMP and possibly EMF.
However, I donít know how to save a chart as a PDF file.
In Easy Chartís File menu, I see that I can Save Graphic File. There does not seem to be a PDF option. If I Save Graphic and choose Bittmap, I find that I can link that file to my website and it will work. However, the file seems to be Very Large and the quality of the chart is not very good. I also found that I could save the BMP file as a JPG, and that is a much smaller file but still the quality is not very good.
Under Save Graphic File, I can also choose Extended Metafile, but I canít figure out what that does, or even where to find it if I save it.
Is there some way to save a chart as a PDF file, or some other method that would permit an easily viewable chart to be posted on a website?
Many thanks for your help.
