I've been a Mac user for years but had a Windows machine just to run Generations. Only recently did I discover the program Reunion which was made by the original developer of Generations and has continued development of the program. I emailed them my Generations file and they converted it to Reunion with all data preserved. The only bad part was that the picture links no longer work on the Mac. However they are still there, so I can read the old link and then relink to their new location on the Mac.
