As for getting a copy of the book, a lady in Florida along the same line had said there were newer versions printed, but it was a year or so ago and I do not have that info readily available. The name of the book is: Governor Garrard, of Kentucky, His Descendants and Relatives by Anna Russell Des Cognets, published by James M. Byrnes, Lexington, KY, 1898. My book is very old and needs rebound. I think there was another chapter added in the newer version by Louis des Cognets, Anna's son. You may be able to search the internet by the title and find it. I will try to find the info on where to get a copy, but it will take me a while.
