Thanks for writing again. Yes I know we need verifiable proof. I continue to search the records for proof. Wish I could remember who gave me the information on Hendri & William. I have found the Gaddie's in Fife Scotland records. Scottish records are more detailed than American records. I have corresponded with Gaddie's in that region. So I know they are from Scotland. Well keep searching the records. Don't put to much stock in spellings of names. Scottish are the most stubborn people I know! My husband is a Gaddie and my father-in-law is a Gaddie, so I know. I'm an Alley. We are from England. But I also have Scottish Patton's in my blood line so watch out, I may be more stubborn than the lot of you. Take care and happy hunting. Patricia Alley Gaddie
