I'm trying to connect some of my Stokes line from Georgia to the bunch in N.C. My g.g.grandfather John Melton Stokes was from Terrell Co., Ga. His wafe was Elizabeth Hasty. John M. Stokes' father was Samuel, b. 1820. It's pretty sketchy beyond that. Some records show this Samuel was b. in Ga. and his wife was Susan ? They married around 1847. Their children: Jane F. b.abt.1848 John M. b. Jan 1850 MaryAnne b. abt. 1852 James H. b.1853 Eusasanus B. b. abt. 1854 Samuel b. 1859-1860 Charles b. abt. 1861
