Elbert Co., GA marriage records show one Frederick Dean married Sally Bray on 8 Jan 1807. 1820 Elbert Co. census shows a Frederick Dean as head of household. 1830 census shows Frederick Dean as a head of household in Franklin and Morgan Cos., GA. A list believed to be a list of soldiers for the GA Militia for the War of 1812 from Elbert Co. shows a Shadrick Dean, Ensign. Could not find a Frederick or Shadrick Dean in Madison Co. census records during the period 1820-1860. Elbert Co. Returns of Administrators and Guardians, Will Book N, Old No., page 238, shows Sarah B. Edwards, administrator of estate of James Edwards, in returns for 1826 paid Alvin Dean and Dr. Amstead for medical services.
