I Have been looking for the grave of my GGGrand father William Cicero Stargel and his son Ethemine who died a month before William died in the year 1898. I know William has a memorial marker at Cane Creek Baptist church but older family members say he is not buried their. His son Ethemine was teaching at the lone tube when he died. I know the Concord church was called the long tube Baptist church at one time. I was looking at the graves at Concord Cemetery and found the graves are not as old as the church which leads me to believe their may be a older cemetery for Concord. I also found the same at Damascus Baptist church. Does anyone know if there are older grave yards for these churches than the ones they have now. I have also been told there are some Stargels buried behind a white house close to Ace Hardware on hiway 60 but have not been able to find this grave yard. Thanks in advance for any help on the above questions. Thanks also to all those I have talked to in lumpkin county. Everyone has been very helpful and I am proud my ancestors are from Lumpkin County Georgia. Thomas J.D. Stargel
