Yes, the line goes back to 1495 ... but the reseach is very fuzzy ... little to quantify the leap from one individual to the next. My line for example shows a marrige in London ... but after years of chasing it around ... he actually married someone who lived in the next village.

A number of years back one of the Frogley descendants in Herfordshire started going through the registers in Record Office, but gave up in utter frustration. Delays with registers, ones that could not be located, difficult to read etc. What was concluded however ... there were more floating around the area than could be accounted for. It ended up we had a series of burials, but no births or marriages.

When researching the family of Joseph Frogley of Portsmouth, his Naval record indicates that he came from Hertfordshire ... but the parish hasn't been searched ... and no trace of the family found elsewhere.

When I was reseaching the family in London, Hertfordshire members of the family kept on cropping up with marriages and deaths, etc. ... so the families were obviously floating in and out of London.
