Fulda Free Press 8/26/1965 "SERVICES HELD FOR MOTHER OF MARTIN FRIES - Funeral services for Mrs. R.V. Ochenfels, mother of Martin Fries, were held at Lade of the Lakes Catholic Church is New London-Spicer, Thursday. Mrs. Ochenfels death occurred Monday. Anna Peterson was born April 5, 1883 in Chicago. She came to Minnesota in ____. She was married to Peter Fries in ____ and they lived at Tyler. To them were born three sons: Martin of Fulda, and Harvey and Norman of New London. Mr. Fries died in ____. Mrs. Fries married Mr. Ochenfels in 1932, and they lived at Currie and Garvin until three years ago when they moved to New London. Surviving besides Mr. Ochenfels are the three sons, and two step-sons, Arthur Fries of Marathon, Iowa, and Mike Fries of Albert Lea. There are five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and one sister. Preceding her in death besides her first husband were her parents and two brothers."
