My mother says she remembers a Nimrod Free, who was my Gfather's cousin. She saw Frees listed in the MacAlister, OK phone book years ago and wondered if they were kin. My Gfather was James T. Gunter b.1865 to William H. and Nora Emily Evelyn Gunter. He was born in Illinois. William H. spent years in Mo st. prison and Levenworth for murders he committed. I know the Gunters lived in Ark. Mo. Ks. & Ok. I also have records showing Mary Gunter (married name Free) was born to James Gunter and Margarett Bannister. Any info would be appreciated.
