Stephen, My Great Grandmother Mary Flannigan (Flannagan) was born in Co. Clare in 1865. She married her husband Patrick White sometime before 1891, and lived between Lisdoonvarna and Ballyvaughan, near Corkscrew Hill, until they emigrated to the US in 1910 with 7 of their 9 children. Mary was the school teacher at the National School near Corkscrew Hill until 1910. Mary's parents were James Flannigan and Bridget Lynch of Co. Clare. Once in the US in 1910, they visited family in Bethlehem, PA, and then moved on to meet more family in Butte, Montana. Her husband Patrick died in November of that year in Butte. By 1912, Mary and the children had settled in Los Angeles with yet another family connection. Does anything sound familiar? damien d. kay Colorado Springs, CO |
