Cases Before Justice Willard and Justice Smith.        Before Justice Willard this morning, appeared Junius Howard, charged with breaking and entering. He was committed in default of $100 bond.        The case of Rev. W. D. Johnson, colored, on the complaint of Mack Macklin, charging the minister with carrying concealed weapons and making an assault with intent to murder the complainant, in the shooting that occurred last Friday over the complainant’s wife, Justice E. E. Willard committed the defendant in default of $200 bond.        Andrew Epps and the head waiter of the Geneva, engaged in a row and considerable damage was done to the faces and heads of those involved before they were parted. The difficulty arose over the pay of Andrew Epps. He was discharged and given $1 in settlement. Epps thought he ought to have more and so the trouble began with Sam Saunders the aggressor, according to Epps’ statement. The case will come before Justice Willard today.        Justice Columbus B. Smith committed Sheldon Prichard this morning on the charge of larceny in default of $50 bond.        Peter Brown, charged with breaking and entering the house of R. H. Liggett and stealing an overcoat, was committed in default of $200 bond.        The case of Daniel T. Tresvant, on complaint of P. Tischler, was disposed of by the same court. Tresvant is the head-cook of the Placide, and when Mr. Tischler entered the kitchen of that hotel to get some scrap meat, the cook refused it to him in a very rough manner. Mr. Tischler resented the rebuff, and a fight followed in which the complainant was worsted by the cook. The proceedings yesterday resulted in the commitment of the defendant and the bond was fixed at $200.
