Yes, the Quincey Presbyterian Church continues in the communittee from about 1831, I believe. My GGgrandmother was baptised and joined there in 1847, then in 1853 received a letter of dismission with about ten others to form the Damascus Presbyterian church in Gadsden County, probably somewhere near Dogtown, where my folks lived. The earliest records of the Quincey church apparently have been transcribed and typed, and are in repository at the Presbyterian archives in Montreat, NC. No records of the Damascus church, unfortunately for me, are found there. I have contacted the Quincey church historian and they have some old records which they keep in a safty deposit box at a bank in Quincey. Over time the congregations of several early church merged with the Quincey church, including the Old Philidelphia church which still stands, with a cemetery. I don't know about cemeteries directly connected with the Quincey church; check out the Gadsden Co GENWEB site. I have names, addresses, and phone numbers of the Quincey church and a researcher in Montreat who can help with research there. Contact me at ANRKEE@aol.com
