Looking for information related to Carter T. Baughan (aka C.T. Baughn), who moved to Gadsden County between 1841 and 1848 from Williamsburg Co., SC. He is shown in the 7th District in the 1850 census:

Carter T. Baughan, 47, farmer, b VA
Eliza, 33, b NC
Virginia, 15, b NC
Sarah, 13, b NC
Mary, 11, b SC
Cornelia, 6, b SC
Martin N., 8, b SC (only male child)
Missouri, 2, b FL
Sarah Jarrott, 31, b NC

The slave schedule shows Carter T. Baughan as owner of 43 slaves.

Have been unable to find this family anywhere in 1860. Looking for info about this family's time in Gadsden County. Did he own land? When bought? When sold?

Any children married in Gadsden Co?

Did he die there? Probate record?

Record shows his marriage to Eliza Jarrott 23 May 1832 in Cumberland co., NC. Sarah Jarrott probably her sister.
