I have Lillie Fennell born Oct 1885 and died 4 Mar 1978. She was a native of Hampton County, SC. She actually died in GA because she was in the hospital in Augusta,GA. We think Lilly was the 2nd wife of William D. Matlock b. Rayton,GA 1863/65 and died in Ellenton SC 1948. He was buried in Ellenton and then moved to Jackson SC cemetery in 1950.. The 1920 census has 2 children Gregory and William Rueben Matlock b 1918. Later you find their children listed as: William Reuben Matlock d. 19 Sep 1980 m. Helen Chavous 1938 John H. Matlock d. 25 Sep 1985 Myrtle Matlock m. a Beard William D. Matlock was the s/o John and Susan Portwood Matlock. John was born in MO and served with an AR outfit in the civil war and then lived in GA. Is this scenario recognized by any Fennell searcher? We welcome any information. Thank You Terry
