A friend of mine found this about 20 years ago along the trail west. It was fenced off. Thought maybe she died on the trail and perhaps no record is found. A lone grave at Marcell, NM. Near a church, lists this Name: Mary A. Featherstone. died 30 May 1883, Age 51. M: G, W. Featherstone. Note Issaqulena, MS. I assume this means she came from MS. I tried to find both of these names in GNIS and couldn't find out what county they were in.
