Thanks for the good information. Amanda Jane Taylor-Carter-Fain’s granddaughter Sara E. SMITH stated in a Primitive Baptist obituary that “Amanda was married to Aaron FAIN.” Based on your information and the obituary, it appears to me that her “second husband” was Earnest Aaron Fain. Earnest was from a distinguished family, and was most probably given a middle name. QUESTION: Was Amanda’s son Rev. Andrew Jackson Carter a Primitive Baptist minister?
