Hello Dorothea, i was bought up in an orphanage here in Australia and did not know anything about my past or heritage until just four years ago when i first met my real father and he told me about my grandmother who was part maori, since then i have traced back to my great great grandmother who name was Emma Louise Irving and she married a Thomas Hansen Bowyer, Emma Louise Irving's mothers name was NGAHUIA and i was just recently given an old handwritten
Maori family tree, sorry i do not know how it is said or pronounced in the Maori language in which i would love to learn if i could find some one to help me.
It also has Hone Heke in the line so Dorothea if you could email me at email@example.com with your contact email i can then send you what i have and maybe you could help me put it into prospective for me, i think i may be an ancestor of Hone Heke thru my great great great grandmother NGAHUIA, maybe you could help me to verifiy it and understand it and if i am an ancestor i would love so dearly to learn about and meet my other living ancestors over there in NewZealand one day soon.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.Kindest regards Lisa stevans..
