I have 2 Evarts in my family tree -- one I have information for (Elinor Evarts who married Jeremiah Guild, their son Samuel married Abigail Doolittle, their daughter Cynthia Guild married Elisha Wetmore who is my g4-grandfather), the other I have only a minimum of information for. Her maiden name was Nancy M. Evarts, married to Chester C. Castle (they are my g3-grandparents). In 1866 they moved to Woodbury County, Iowa, where they had 6 children. Census information says that Nancy was born in Pennsylvania, her father born in Vermont, her mother in New York. I have been able to find some Evarts who lived in Vermont, but none who had a daughter Nancy born in Pennesylvania in the correct time frame. Does anyone have information that can help me trace this part of the Evarts family tree? Thank you for your help.
