Judith, I don't know if any relationship exist with the family of Irvins I am researching but they are from an area close to yours. Do you know anything else about the Thomas? was he an oysterman or associated with the sea. Although the names you mention are not known in my family generally I do have a Thomas but from a couple of generations later. I have a Jacob from your era with associations in Dorchester County, Maryland. Let me know if any of this is familiar. Brian
