My great-grandmother was Louisa Erler. She married a Walter Garlach(sp?) and had 1 son, Walter. Garlach went out to get a job and never came back so she then married John E. Nelson, sweedish immigrant, tailor, and changed her son's name to Walter Nelson. They settled in Lower Lake, California. She was highly involved the funding the construction of the library, the woman's democratic society and the Catholic church. She played the piano & organ. She also had a beautiful singing voice and sang in the church. I have a funeral notice for Xaviera. It ls the size of a postcard. I can scan a copy for you if you want. Just let me know. Thanks, Lisa
