I recently rented the film for christenings for Wells-Next-the-Sea for the period that covered around 1780. I was looking for information about Matthew EVERITT who married Margaret WOODHOUSE in 1802 in Walsingham/Little Walsingham. I found only one Matthew EVERITT in the parish register, son of William and Anne (probably Long), christened 8 Oct 1779 in Wells-Next-the-Sea. I have seen entries on FamilySearch claiming this Matthew was the son of John and Martha EVERITT and somewhere another claiming John and Martha from a parish record. I am fairly sure I would have seen that in the records as the information about Matthew is specifically what I was looking for. In the 1851 census of Shoreditch, Matthew claims to have been born in Wells, was age 71 and wife Margaret in Walsingham age 67. Would someone be willing to do a look-up of that parish register and check to see if there is another Matthew EVERITT listed about that time that I may have missed? I am also interested in finding the parents of this Margaret Woodhouse. There is a Margaret listed on FamilySearch born 10 Nov 1781 in Colby. Could this possibly be my Margaret? I would appreciate any help. Claire |
