A biography of James S. Egan is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, page 1231. Parents: John F. Egan, b. 1833, Galway, Ireland, came to NY in 1844; in 1866, Virginia City, NV, married Miss Mary E. Bride, b. 1841, County Cork, Ireland. On 7 Jun 1899, Butte, MT, James S. married Miss Mary T. Leary, daughter of John and Mary (Brennan) Leary.
