I too am an Eckhoff from Nebraska, but now live in Utah. My Father was from Brunswick in Northeast Nebr. I have been looking for info on the origins of my branch of the tree. I run into a dead end before they moved to Ne. I hope you have some luck. I have posted my family tree at ancestry.com. Later Butch
