George William Durrett bc 1811 Mason Co., Ky - his parents moved to Christian Co., Ky - where he married Elizabeth Bernard on 4 Mar 1835. (His sister Catherine Elizabeth Durrett m 9 Feb 1836 William V. Bernard) Parents: Henry Durrett bc 1770 Caroline Co., Virginia & died about 1836 in Christian Co., Kentucky. His wife was Mary bc 1775 Va & died after 1850 in Christian Co., Ky. Some say she was Mary Cammack based on a POA but be very careful before you accept that surname. Grandparents: Henry was the oldest son of Captain William Durrett (24 Nov 1748 Spotsylvania Co & d 25 Jan 1804 Caroline Co. & his first wife Abigail Terrell (b 6 Dec 1751 & died around 1788 Caroline Co) Capt. William Durrett. His obit reads: "Died on the 25ult Capt Wm Durrett of Caroline Co. He was amusing himself in the fields fowling when he suddenly fell from his horse and expired without a groan. He leaves a wife & a number of children" Va Herald issue of 10 Feb 1804. Great Grandparents: Richard Durrett (7 Jan 1712- d 1768) & Sarah Marshall (b 20 May 1721 & d after 1768) AND Henry Terrell (1765-1760) & Sarah Woodson
