Looking for any information about Thomas Henry Dowling, born abt. 1804, Philadelphia, PA - d. abt. 1871, NY. He laid claim to Yerba Buena Island (Goat Island) in San Francisco Bay, but the US government denied the claim in about 1868. Any help would be great appreciated. Patricia
