There are a number of other places and perhaps if you google a query you might turn up a WIKI article also. The FAQ at Family Tree DNA perhaps.

But, if you are looking to learn the real deal the GenForum-DNA is a really good place to ask your question. To ask your question you just need to join the forum. Very quick and very easy. Go to rootsweb home page if you don't want to click on the links above and go down to Mail Lists and then proceed from there to look for mail lists. They are listed under DNA in the Miscellaneous I think it is.
