Calling all DIEHL descendants in Lancashire, England... I am descended from a Christiana DIEHL of Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany. Christiana had a sister by the name of Maria DIEHL. From Christiana's and Maria's marriage certificates I have established their father was named Peter DIEHL. Maria married Frederick LENZ (also German) on 12/09/1850 at Manchester Cathedral, Lancashire. Christiana Diehl and James Littler were witnesses. Christiana married James LITTLER on 24/08/1851 at Bury Parish Church, Lancashire. Both couples ended up living in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Lancashire, although Maria and Frederick eventually moved to nearby Haydock.
