Hi
I am looking at the Devlin family tree for my mum who is Johnina Devlin Hillis Young. We are looking at the Devlin family line.

The Devlin family line I am looking for were from Greenock and before that Ireland - I think c. Donegal.

Part of the family went to the US, a couple to Spain and some to Australia (Crombie ?).

One of the family tree (Daniel Devlin) was born in Greenock but buried in Donegal in 1857.
We know the family came from Ireland and are trying to check back the roots.
The line incudes John Devlin (Seaman/rafter foreman). Born around 1832 died 1906 - married twice to Mary McArthur - 3 children died as infants but have no details of other children. John later married Catherine mcLauchlan and they had Johnina (b 1880), Helen( b 1873), Daniel (b 1876), mary (n 1871), Hugh (b 1878) Isabella ( b 1882), Catherine (b 1891).

John's parents were Helen Quigg (b 1811) and Dennis Devlin. I can't find any info on Dennis Devlin. I think his brother was Daniel Devlin who was married to Catherine McGill - they had a child (of many?) called Daniel Devlin who was born in 1823 in irelnd and died in 1857 and was buried in Morville county Donegal. He married Mary Gallacher in 1848 ( they had Cathterine (born around 1851), dennis (born around 1859), mary ( born around 1863)and daniel (around 1867).

My tree is a bit of a mess at the moment so any help would be greatly appeciated ! I'm not sure I;ve got the right relationships !

many thanks
Nicola
