My g-g-grandmother, Honora Desmond Scannell, wife of David Scannell, was born circa 1806 in Ireland. She married David Scannell in the Catholic Church at Passage West, County Cork, Ireland on December 3, 1826. Witnesses were Daniel Scannell and Patrick Barrett. She died November 20, 1878 in Danvers, Mass. at the age of 72 and is buried in the Scannell lot at Old Calvary Cemetery, Boston. David Scannell was born circa 1796 in Ireland, the child of Edward and Joanna Scannell. His death occurred on Thursday, June 11, 1885 in Boston, Massachusetts at the age of 89,.
