A Runaway Match, Sunady a nice little runaway marriage took place in Atlanta. Miss Nancy Newton left her home ostensibly for the purpose of attending Sunday school at Payne's chapel. John W. Dean also went somewhere. They met at the residence of Rev. Mr. Hughes, pastor of Payne's chapel, and were quickly made one, after which they sent for the old folks to get their blessings. footnote.com 3/10/1881
