For anyone who may be interested, the following marriage announcement appeared in the Syracuse Daily Star (Syracuse, NY):
Thursday, August 22, 1850
"On the 20th inst., by James A. H. Connell, D. D., Mr. WILLIAM PARKS, of Brooklyn, to Miss ELNORA BROCKWAY, of Syracuse. Both of the betrothed were deaf and dumb, and the solemn ceremony was performed through the aid of Mr. Olds."
