Hi there: I had 3 ancestors that attended ephpheta school for the deaf too. I do not have any documentation. I just have the familiy story. Charles, Rose & Elizabeth Yanzito. They were all born 1898, 1892 & 1895. According to my Mom's, ephpheta school for the deaf was located at N Crawford & Belmont Avenues-and was operated by the Roman Catholic church. My uncle Charles Yanzito married a fellow student Rose. All 3 of them traveled to Europe with the RC church's deaf-mute group based on their affiliation with thise school. I am just starting to look into this school as part of my ancestor project. |
