I've found my 5th-great grandfather, James Deacon in an index to marriages in the Diocese of Ossory, Ferns & Leighlin. The entry indicates that James Deacon of Hood Hall, Co Kilkenny married Ann Tovey of Muckully in Knochtopher Parrish on January 22, 1790. I'm wondering if anyone has traced ancesters to Hood Hall or encountered that place name in their family records. Thus far I have been unable to find any record of such a place name in KilKenny. James and Ann (and their children) emigrated to Canada in the early 19th century. Regards, Frank Peters Mississippi, USA
